How chargeable weight works
Carriers charge by whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric weight. For air freight, volumetric weight = (L × W × H) ÷ 6,000 (in cm). For ocean freight, the ratio is 1 CBM = 1,000 kg. If your cargo is large but light (like foam or electronics packaging), you'll pay based on volume. If it's small and heavy (like metals), you'll pay based on actual weight.
